Refund Policy

1. Our Refund Philosophy

Donations made to Helping Hearts, a DBA of DDS Foundation, EIN 93 2914722, are voluntary contributions that are deployed quickly into our charitable programs. Once a donation has been allocated to or distributed through a program, it cannot be returned. However, we recognize that errors and changes in circumstance happen, and we handle refund requests with care.

2. When Refunds Are Available

We will issue a full refund in the following situations:

• Duplicate transactions. If you accidentally donated more than once for the same intended gift, we will refund the duplicate.
• Incorrect amounts. If you entered a donation amount in error, for example, $5,000 instead of $50, contact us within 14 days and we will correct or refund the difference.
• Unauthorized transactions. If a donation was made using your payment method without your authorization, we will refund the full amount upon verification.
• Cancellation of recurring donations. You may cancel a recurring monthly donation at any time. Future scheduled donations will not be processed. Past donations are not subject to refund unless they meet one of the above criteria.

3. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email us at ddshelpinghearts@gmail.com with:

• The full name on the donation.
• The email address used.
• The approximate date and amount.
• A brief description of the reason for the refund request.

We aim to respond to all refund requests within 24 to 48 hours and to process approved refunds within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your payment method.

4. Tax Receipt Adjustments

If a tax receipt has already been issued for a refunded donation, we will issue a corrected receipt or void the original. Please consult your tax advisor regarding the impact of refunded donations on any deductions you may have claimed.

5. Cancellation of Recurring Donations

To cancel a recurring monthly donation, email ddshelpinghearts@gmail.com or use the cancellation link in your donation confirmation email. Cancellations take effect immediately for all future scheduled donations.
